Occupational Therapy for Adults

Build the routines your ADHD brain actually needs.

The Steady Lab helps adults with ADHD develop real-world strategies for focus, time management, and daily functioning — using evidence-based occupational therapy.

You're not lazy — you're wired differently.

Adult ADHD often looks like procrastination, forgetfulness, or overwhelm. OT helps you work with your brain, not against it.

OT that meets you where you are

The Steady Lab was founded on a simple belief: that adults with ADHD deserve practical, compassionate support — not just a diagnosis and a list of tips.

  • ✓ Occupational therapy addresses the functional impact of ADHD — not just symptoms, but how they affect your daily life, work, and relationships.
  • ✓ Sessions are collaborative: you bring the goals, we bring the tools and expertise to help you get there.
  • ✓ No shame, no judgment — many adults with ADHD have spent years feeling broken. We start from a place of strengths.
  • ✓ Treatment is evidence-based and adapted to your neurology, lifestyle, and personal values.
"The goal isn't to fix you — it's to help you build a life that fits the brain you actually have."

Frequently asked questions

Still figuring out if OT is right for you? Here are the most common questions we hear.

No formal diagnosis is required to start occupational therapy. Many clients are in the process of being evaluated or are self-identifying. That said, a diagnosis can be helpful context — we'll discuss your situation on our discovery call.
Occupational therapists focus on your ability to do meaningful daily activities — work, self-care, relationships. Unlike coaching, OT is a licensed healthcare profession with formal evaluation and treatment protocols. Unlike therapy, OT focuses on function and skill-building rather than processing emotions (though both can be valuable).
We are currently a private-pay practice. We can provide a Superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Contact us to discuss rates and payment options.
Yes — telehealth sessions are available and just as effective as in-person for most clients. We use a HIPAA-compliant video platform. In-person sessions may also be available depending on location.
It varies by person and goals. Some clients see meaningful progress in 8–12 sessions; others benefit from longer-term support. We re-evaluate regularly to make sure treatment is moving at the right pace for you.
